About the role

As a Systems Engineer, you will be offered a challenging and stimulating job in an exciting environment within our aviation unit, focusing on air traffic control systems, communication, navigation, radar, meteorology, and terminal systems. You will be a crucial link in maintaining the technical safety of aviation and air traffic.

The work includes both preventive and corrective maintenance of complex and unique systems. You will also be involved in various projects related to the different system groups. Below are examples of our different areas:

• Radio systems
• Navigation systems
• Radar systems
• Air traffic control systems
• Meteorological systems
• Terminal systems
• IP Networks and PC applications

Most of the systems at the airport are of a unique nature. Therefore, as a Systems Engineer, you will undergo basic training and a number of specific advanced courses. You will work within a leading industry and become part of a team consisting of ambitious and engaged colleagues.

You will also travel to nearby technical facilities to handle equipment outside of Landvetter. The work is carried out both independently and in close collaboration with other systems engineers, following applicable quality and safety requirements. Scheduled working hours and on-call duties are included in the role.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a technical background, with at least a three-year upper secondary education in technology or a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree, or equivalent experience.

We would like you to have experience in:

• Radio technology and telecommunications
• Analog and digital electronics as well as mechanics
• Measurement technology
• Antenna systems, radio links, or transmission solutions
• Operation and maintenance of technical systems

Experience with airport or aviation systems as well as electrical competence is meritorious.

You have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, in speech and writing. A valid manual B driver's license is required for the role, and you may need to be approved for mast climbing.

Other information

The position is a permanent full-time employment located at Landvetter Airport.

Before employment, LFV conducts a security clearance which includes register checks, security interviews, and drug tests. This position requires Swedish citizenship.
